Miqo'te with a dream

Mio Kuronome's story is one of resilience, determination and the pursuit of her true destiny. Born on a remote island in the Ruby Sea, Mio blossomed into a beautiful, intelligent young woman; under the guidance and nurture that her parents offered her. She adored listening to her father recant tales of the fabled swordsmen known as samurai on the mainland, Mio knew in her heart, after hearing these stories, that her destiny lied not with the village but to dance on the field of battle wielding a fabled katana from legend. Tragedy struck the small island one dark starry night when raiders from the sea came and pillaged the village and murdered the villagers. On her parents death bed, they imparted there final wish; to follow her dreams and become the samurai she always dreamed of becoming. Fueled by her desire and her parents dying wish, she set sail for the mainland to start a new journey. As fate would have it, her destiny would be put on hold as her ship was attacked at sea. Mio was abducted by a criminal organization that exploited young women for illicit actions, through an illegal auction. Her life and dreams seemed to be snatched away from her before she ever got to bring them to fruition. She was forced into a life that had no resemblance of honor or valor like the samurai she had grown so fond of admiring in her fathers stories.
